5 port has more torque (bottem end) and the 7 port has more top end.... i have both of these motors and i run the 5 port in my truggy as it is heavier than a buggy and needs a little more help getting off the mark.... when i put the 5 port in my buggy i found it was to much torque and i kept spinning my buggy out....hope that helps...

Would the new Go 3 port race turbo engine be even better than the 5 and 7 port in a truggy?

The 3 port is made for a buggy. Will not have the torque for a truggy. Do not ask me why but that is the way it is.

I agree with Full-Revs. The 5 port has a lot of torque. I had a hard time keeping the tires from spinning. The 7 port is much better in a buggy.
