looks great sean! I did the whole cnc wood router thing few years ago but have been eye balling a lathe lately. It's not really beefy but I have a compact5 I've been thinking of converting, just cause its super small and desk top size, plus it has mill attachment so could be handy for small stuff.

Sean;

Great Toys you have; whats the chance of machining Engine Standoffs that have a Larger Diameter Base say about 3/4 to 1" dia, with shafts about 1/2"; similar to these but with a larger base.

Doug.

100% Doug, You know me, bring it! Teach me engine conversions, and come spend a day or two at my shop and we'll work through it. There are still a couple of tools that I need to do inside boring at angles, but within the next couple of weeks I should have it all in.

It would especially help if you could bring an example to start from. I have 1" round aluminum in stock, we can make it whatever size from there.

Sounds good, it won't be right away, I'm still building the plane and not sure what length the standoffs need to be yet, but I will take you up on the offer when the time comes.

Doug.
