everyone is hiding under the 'price of oil'; the price of corn, etc. and WE get to pay the increase!

not necessarily, it's just that the Dollar isn't worth it's weight in dirt right now. Therefore, the exchange rate makes for a higher cost of labor using the American Dollar...But, we all know dang well that when the dollar rebounds, prices won't drop!

It was just a matter of time before it got to us. Everything is being brought back to the cost of gas and transportation to bring things to Tower and us. All the things that are made overseas have to come to us on a boat or a plane, and they all need fuel and gas. I am now being told that the Chinese are not making nitro until after the Olympics are complete, so there goes the price of fuel. Just the full circle as they say. Good Luck, Dave

Actually, the Chinese standard of living is getting better and so the wages and benefits they receive are increasing. It will eventually come to a point where there is no more economic advantage to Chinese made goods and the production of cheap stuff will move somewhere else.

Actually that probably isn't far off the mark it will just take time. Manufacturing is done where it is cheapest to do so, if it becomes less profitable to do it in China over somewhere else then it will be done somewhere else. There are a lot of other Asian countries that are just getting their manufacturing systems off the ground. Vietnam is an example, as these other countries get off the ground china will be less profitable. Eventually the cycle will run around the world until everywhere has been 'industrial revolutionized' and then it won't much matter where anything is manufactured.

This is of course highly generalized as some countries may have things like materials in abundance that make it cheaper for them to do one thing over another...

Yea, it going to make it easier to keep my money in my pocket, no big bargins to make my desposable income to disappear. Heck, I got years of stuff to keep me busy in my basement if I don't ever buy anything again.
