Thank you all for your ideas and support, without it, I probably would have ended up messing this airboat up too. Here is a video, tell me what you think... I think it runs fine, IMO, it could go faster and turn better, but I probably won't touch anything or mess with turning fins unless you guys spot anything I could change. I really enjoyed this build, and now I have something to show off to other people !

...I just might decorate the rudder a bit

Choose the video that you preffer and tell me what you think!

ISIRC10,

Nice job!
I think I know someone who is going to be at the pond a lot. And when he's not at the pond.........he'll be in his work shop!

Looks like you had full control over it. The boat is nicely balanced!

I think you have built a good boat. I tend to look at the boats in more of a performance aspect, so I think you should try and get some more power on it.

Have fun and keep the videos coming!

yours is alittle faster than mine, looks nicer to
i do have a 550 titan i could try. the 20t i have on now doesnt spin 100% with the 10X6 prop. i have a brushless gws 2215/12t motor, but would need a esc that can handle that motor on 11.1v. i couldnt spend more than $40 on it either(since its going i a boat i built )

yeah, about the spending part... I am lucky to have a bunch of parts lying around, so I really didn't have to go and buy anything for this project... unless my parents are so amazed by its performance and agree to get me a bl motor

next updates will probably be something that holds the lid down on the electronics compartment... I'm going to try a few different designs.

BTW, thanks for the kind words, and yes Chris, I will be spending a lot of time at the pond, just found it as my mom was driving me back from work.

a few pics to come...

yeah, I know that...

but I figured that I went fairly conservative with the bling on this boat, so might as well throw this in as a parting addition - before I get my Mamba Max 5700kV BL motor combo from Tower... . you can guess where its gonna to be going after a stint in my T4...

3mm aluminum electronics compartment lid securer thingy... a hacksaw, drillpress, and a lot of filling and wet-sanding! LOL
