I want a new t-rex,but I dont know what. It will either be another t-rex 450 se v2,or a t-rex 500cf. I also dont know whether I want to do 3d,or go scale. If I get a new t-rex 450 se v2 I will probably turn my old v2 into a 3d practice heli, and turn my new one into a scale heli. If I get a 500cf I would probably turn both helis into scale, but I dont know. If anyone one has a idea let me know because I could go either way on the helis. If you could tell me some benefits of the 500,compared with the 450. Also if anyone has a flown a fuselages they have have flown and like please let me know, because I am new to scale helis. Thank you in advance.

i would get a 600E. however, i'm going to school in a month or so and really only have room for the 450.

I went with two 450 helis before I stepped up. Then I went with a 600n now I hardly fly my 450 helis but I actually charged the packs for one to go play with it tomorrow along with my Trex 500. Now I have a Trex 500 also and I love flying it just upgraded the motor on it will maiden the Scorpion 1600 tomorrow. The Trex 600n I LOVE to fly but with the challenges of flying it I only fly on the weekends. Ok every single weekend Saturday and Sunday but still. I fly 3D though and scale is not a goal for me. I wish I wouldn't have bought two 450 helis now but her is my take on it from what I think is best for you...

If you buy a Trex 500 you will probably want to run either a 5s or 6s not two 3s in series. If you go 6s now you need another charger I am betting but either way you need more batteries. So much for the budget for the scale project for awhile. If you go with another 450 and go scale you probably will get addicted to it and scale everything. So what should you do? Well if you aren't shooting for 3D get into scale and if I, someone who hasn't actually owned scale, had to make a recommendation for a scale 450 I would say get the Hughes with the retractable landing gear. Then go for a 3 or 4 bladed head next make it sooo sweet. That is the way to go all in or all out.

Anyway I am tired that was a bunch of rambling hope it helped.

Helismith is that your super pro on the helismith.com? Also is the t-rex 600 super pro worth investing that much money in being that it is a .50 size heli? No matter what,I have decided to continue with the 3d flying. Also could someone give me a good electronics setup for a super pro that uses the DX7. Another thing is what can you do with a .90 that you cannot do with a .50 size heli? Thank you all.

Yup sir that’s my baby.

Nitro is it as far as I am concerned it is worth investing in especially if you want to fly 3D. Not that electric is a slouch by any means the fly great but a .50 nitro is a perfect heli with 1 to 3 hundred dollar crashes where a .90 eats the fuel and is a crash starting at 3 bills.

I recommend the following:
Trex 600N Super Pro
3 x JR8717 cyclic
1 x 3151 throttle
The 401 + 9254 gyro servo combo is good enough for now

I recommend one of the two following receiver governor "carb smart" approaches

AR7100 receiver
Multigov Pro governor and an adequate mixture servo “HS65 works”

or

AR7100R
Carb Smart and an adequate mixture servo “HS65 works”

Pricey but worth it.

I still dont know what I want to get. I am starting to lean back towards a 500 for now,due to the fact that the parts are cheaper, and electrics are cheaper. I also like the relatively small size. If it really does fly like they say compared to the 450 then im gonna get one.
