I have a nice big Ofna fuel bottle that started leaking along the seam on the bottom.. How can I repair this - or can I??

I've got like 4 little ones that I've been carrying around(only one with a spout and cap though, so I'm constantly transferring fuel from one to the other..), and am getting sick of it and would like to have the big one again, but am too cheap to buy a new big one.. Is it fixable? Thanks..

Maybe you can keep the cap really tight and just store it upside down until you use it all.

Nope not really fixable.

You shouldn't be storing fuel in those fuel bottles, makes them way more brittle and thats when they break as you mention.

Hmm.. C.rap.. I need so many other little things to keep my four trucks running, I just don't want to buy a new one.. Thought maybe there might be a simple fix.. I mean, I have at least five little ones from RTR kits etc.. laying around.. I bought the big Ofna one on a splurge - and it was nice...

And what with sometimes two trucks, a starterbox, toolbox, etc.., I can't carry the big gallon jug anyway - but can fit three of the small bottles(including the big Ofna one..) in my backpack..

Oh well...

When in doubt, give Ebay a shout!

Maybe some RTV silicone?

I've got the silicone stuff you use to seal engines... I hear nitro eats through it though..

I use a backpack as a field box myself. Since I have to carry a 17lbs truck with all my other crap I went out and got a carabiner clip to hook the gallon to my bag strap. I just keep a 500cc fill bottle in the mesh water bottle holder and a funnel in a freezer bag inmy backpack. Works great for me, hope it helps you.

Including shipping to Germany??

Just checked on local ebay here.. Shipping is more than the bottle itself, and together, I could go out to dinner for the price...

LOL, never mind about Ebay.

Thats what we use to seal our nitro engines. High temp RTV silicone and it does its job. Give it a try on the fuel bottle. You have nothing to lose. Just let it dry for a whole day before pouring nitro in the bottle. Let it set real good.

I take it this is not a bottle in which the fuel is sold. Can you tell I'm an electric enthusiast?

Never mind my post above...

Dude whats wrong with you.!?

You dont mind dropping the $$$ for engines left, right, and center, but you dont wanna spend the $10 to buy a bottle to fill them up .!

Dont be cheap, especially since your starting to race your Hyper, last thing you want is your Pitman/woman, saying theres no fuel left in the bottle.!

Buying all those engines means I have to cut corners elsewhere!... - A LOT of corners..

But no seriously, I'm not paying €10 more for a fuel bottle.. I need clutches, bearings, RACE TIRES(!!!...), etc... I'll make do with the little ones...
