I have recently jumped on the aerobatic plane wagon and have purchased the extreme flight extra 58". It just does'nt seem to fly as well as the ones I have seen on videos probably due to setup on my part, So here's the problem, All the guys that fly planes at my field are old and fly cubs and other slow fliers and have no idea about aerobatic setup. Is there a good website that could help me setup this plane?

Careful what you write about Old Guys flying Cubs because they probably know more about aerobatics than you will ever learn but are not impressed with them. There are regions of Old Guys out there who have made this hobby what it is today and you should respect them, not downgrade their abiities or worth. Norm, Old Guy who also flies Cubs and full scale aircraft.

Did'nt mean any disrespect, Maybe that came out wrong, But the majority of guys at my field fly slow fliers I have asked for their help and they tell me they have no idea.

You are forgiven, I would change location where you will find some more experienced pilots who will gladly help you with any problem you may have either in building or flying. Most of us who have been around the RC scene for many years look forward to passing our knowledge and skills along to the younger generation, all you have to do is ask. Norm

All Extreme Flight planes are extremely (no pun intended) nice. Their 55" Extra has recieved a lot of well deserved acclaim.

Yeah, that seems to be going around, probably because none of us are named Chris Hinson.

I got to see Chris fly in person at the TC3D event and, no, it isn't trick video. In person Hinson makes those planes look ever better. He even flew my plane and got a lot more out of it than I could.

There are several things you can do, the easiest of which would be to use the same setup as the instructions call for. If you do that, you'll be pretty close. Outside of that, I live in Largo (about 1.5 hours from you) and would love to fly one of those planes. I could probably help you with the setup and maybe show you a few things that could help.

Another thing worth considering is that the Florida Freestyle Aerobatics Association is having an informal get together in Orlando this weekend and there will be plenty of really skilled help available.

Check this thread, and send "The Flyin' Hawaiian" a PM. He can give you the details and set you up with someone who can help you. If nothing else, he is a really sick monster of a 3D pilot and a helpful guy too.

You may also want to join the FFAA, because not only is is a good source for comraderie and information, but it's free. Thier TC3D event was the most fun I have ever had at an orgainized RC event and they are planning more for this year. We are going to try to get an event at our club in St. Petersburg.

If that fails, send me a PM and I'll be glad to take a look at it. It's a teriffic plane and we won't have any trouble getting it right.

For some odd reason the link isn't showing up right, bgt if you send me a PM I can email it to you. It's not like it'sd a porno link or anything. It's simply the Florida Freestyle Aerobatics Association thread at another forum
