Its interesting how addicting this hobby can be. I"m up to about 20 (about 6 finished and about 14 project still sitting in boxes) Since I got into this hobby about 2 1/2 years ago I've probably had close to 50 tanks cross my work table (yes, I need help, at least my wife thinks so

my wife has put up with rc airplanes for the better part of 6 years now. when she seen me hovering around the tank websites I honestly think she was relieved. no more wing spars on the kitchen table or nitro jugs sitting in the back of the windstar for a while lol. Maybe its just the price of the tanks compared to planes that make her happy also. she always has been afraid to grab a gimbal and fly, but after looking at tanks she wants one too. it looks like its going to be one creeping death p3 and one mato p3.....for starters. I think you, and thank you, fellows you just drafted two more addicts here!

Welcome aboard! Be sure to let us know how you're coming along. I'd love to hear more about the Creeping Death when you get it. There hasn't been much posted about them

the verdict is in. tuesday we will be ordering one creepingdeath panzer III(for me ) and one mato bulldog super smoke and sound for the mrs. no metal upgrades quite yet. but a heavy test of both to put through their paces and a good gun battle between both should be fun!!! I will post some pics through the entire process. Now I'm starting to think stuka dive bomber... but if I have a stuka I'll need some duece and a halves?? what about a tiger too? arghh I'm an rc tank junkie!!!!

the creeping death panzer has arrived!!! just pulled out the box! I must say I am impressed with the model. I got their large decal sheet with it also. time for a little research to apply decals.no bulldog from mato yet, but that should be arriving hopefully soon. I will post some pictures that i am taking today. i let the battery charge for 60 minutes and just checked it out. it runs and shoots like a champ. i read some old posts about henglong tanks shooting about ten feet. not the case with this thing. it can spit out a bb fast! the tracer system works flawlessly my guess is ultraviolet timed with the bb launch. at least thats how the larger airsoft tracer systems work on rifles. sitting down in my basement which is about 58 feet long, with all the lights off the airsoft bb shoots out glowing green and streaks across the entire basement. when it hits the wall (and flies back at me) its still glownig...nuts stuff!! the recoil is perfect also, as soon as the bb shoots the barrel recoils back then comes forward, convincinly real. it says in the instructions/addendum that I should glue the track pins to prevent them from "walking out". is this a common practice with hls? the smoker is somewhat loud and started to drain the battery pack down but it smoked nicely. I have not taken the panzer outside yet. but this will happen during the field trials with the bulldog. man am I plugged into rc tanks now!!!!!!!! I love it!!!

Welcome aboard, you should skim through our FAQ at the top of the page, it covers most of the basic DIY things, covered in there is how to prevent track pins from walking out - remove the tracks and spray paint the back ( where the pin is exposed in the center ), this locks them in place.

I wouldnt glue your tracks UNLESS after a run you notice they have edged out. Otherwise you're gonna make maintenance an absolute pain (when it comes to removing a track)

thanks for the advice arm chair and wacky. followed the paint method for the tracks and it works great!! the bulldog has arrived!!! but it came with a little damage. with a little ca though it should be good. the m41 is pretty good but the gun lacks in power, as in travels about 15 feet power. compiling a ton of photos and tommorow after work let the field trials commence. ok so the history periods are a little off between the models but heck that an excuse to buy more and add on. the creepingdeath panzer is my baby and I'm glad the bulldog arrived from mato because I hate to share. I'm on my second tube of crossman glo's already. I think its safe to assume that with all the glo bbs laying in the backyard I may not need a porch light if this trend continues. last night as I horsed around with my panzer I found that I could stand back about 100 feet from the tank with the muzzle pointed my direction fire the laser mg to sight in on my chest. and zing a round at myself and dodge it. it has that photon torpedo look from star treck going on except much faster. keep in mind this was 10:00 pm pitch black with no lights on outside. the bbs make a weird wizzing sound as they fly by. I wonder what the neighbors think?

Congrats on your new tanks, it's great that you went with both a stock HL and the new Creepingdeath tank, gives you the best of both types. The bulldog sounds like it may have some of the same problems that mine came with, the BB shooting is typical, seems that the Panzer III and IV are the only stock tanks that shoot well. The range problem on mine was just the antenna was not connected well, but on mine the metal gear boxes needed some work. if I had not opened it to fix the antenna and break in the gear boxes the way they were setup would have fried a main board because of the binding, not hard to fix.

Have fun and don't shoot your eye out.

Gary
