ORIGINAL: HeliTB OS engines, don't require a break-n per se, but running in. Which means you do it in the aircraft while flying (hovering and an occasional pullout at full throttle for about 5 to 10 seconds and return to hover for about 30 seconds and repeat for about 8 tanks while leaning 1/8 to 1/4 turn in at a time until you find the sweet spot) on the rich side and with each tank you slowly lean the high speed needle. What you are trying to do during run in is to simulate the load the engine will be flying so that it is broken in under load and not static (on a stand or idling on the ground). I wouldn't bother the low speed needle unless really necssary. Mine was spot on from the factory, don't ask me how I know. BTW: Once you find the sweet spot go a click back rich. Mine performs flawlessly, most guys thinks it a 50 size engine. Forgot to add, I'm using a Hatori Pipe made for the OS 37, which really allows this thing to breathe. I had the muffler you have pictured, yes that is only a muffler to keep it quiet, when you put a pipe on it, it will really wake up that OS 37. It likes to breathe. Cool,it's the same way I break my nitro truck motors in.Im looking for a Pipe now .Thanks for the info and reply ..
