Which is the best bang for the buck? I want 4wd, something that can stand up to bashing with parts readliy available. I was thinking about the Firehammer MT. This truck has been around for a while. Is it available in 4wd? What is your experience with it? Also considering the Redcat Rampage and smartech titan however I don't want a truck that I have to start modding before I even use it to make it perform. MCD is way too expensive. FG is a little pricey but from the videos I've seen the suspension seems very stiff. Maybe I'm just used to my Revo but in the vids of the other trucks their suspesion seems to absorb the terain a lot better. Are there any other trucks I should consider?

4WD trucks are always gona be expensive, alot of the guys on here with FG's prefer 2WD because its more fun to drive.

FG MT.

check the one in my profile "garage" for referance to parts and how to make it bulletproof.

'nuff said.

Thats hot. How does it handle? Is it stiff. The FG's seem to have a suspension like the early Cen Genisis-very stiff. Is yours like that.

Think again I just paid for my Rampage 4x4 MT under $900 shipped you can get um without the radio system but with the servos for $855 plus shipping

www.rampagehopups.com

The Rampage MT is huge makes the FG MT look small!!!

The Rampage is the kind of truck I been waiting for, and the price was a deal maker too. Good thing I have a nice brother that let me use his paypal account so I could get on the pre-order.

The Rampage seems like a great 4x4, though I haven't driven one myself yet. Like Dave, I'd recommend the FG MT5 hands down to anyone who wants a 1/5 truck. Yes its only 2wd, but its a pleasure to own and drive.

I too would recommend an FG to anyone looking for a gasser, it's by far the car that has given me themost pleasure, and I've owned a few different ones.

However, the OP asked what is the best bang for buck 4wd truck. That is without a doubt the rampage. The FG is double the price, up and running, and well worth it, but the Rampage is what you are describing in your original post. The after market is growing fast for that truck too, thanks to Ramtech, Turtle, Phatdad, etc, and Redcat support is excellent. Darin, the owner of Redcat is a member here, and has his own support forum too, so you can get answers and support direct from the horses mouth.

Bottom line, if you have $1600 to spend, get an FG. If you have $900 to spend, get a redcat.

Thats exactly it. For $855 plus shipping I get a big 4wd. I was leaning towards the Rampage or the Firehammer but Firehammer is 2wd. I've heard nothing but good things about FG and MCD but there way out of my price range. Now, are there any upgraded parts I should get before I run the truck. I see alot of you guys change the exhaust right away on the rampage. Which do you suggest? I don't want the truck to be really loud. I just changed the pipe on my baja ss because it was way too loud. Thanks for all the replies.
