Status: offline 		I was driving my revo 3.3 tonight on pavement and when i tried to reverse it sounded kind of funny. i then put it back into drive or forward and it won't go. it will still switch between forwar and reverse but won't move. the brake isn't locked up, but i don't' know what else to check. please help. thanks

Status: online 		Did u check to see if for some reason, the shift fork that shifts gears between forward and reverse has somehow gotten stuck between the 2 gears? If so, try and flip the forward/reverse switch a few different times. If that does nothing, I would say something is possibly hanging itself up inside the trans at which point u may have to yank the trans and open it up to see whats going on inside...

Status: offline 		is there a way to tell if the shift fork is stuck? it will shift back and forth and the arm fully moves each way. the revo will push backwards if you put a little force behind it but it catches and clicks every 1/4 rotation or so. i don't even know what to look for if i pulled the tranny apart but i hate to buy a new one if that isn't the issue. anymore help would be greatly appreciated. thanks again!

Status: online 		Well where do u hear the "clicking" coming from? Do u hear it coming from the front or rear diff? Because if so, it is possible that one of ur diffs is messed up, which yes can and a lot of times will cause that clicking u are talking about....as for the shift fork, if it moves in and out fully, and u can tell that it does, then yes it does sound like u have a diff problem. But before bothering to take either on one of the diffs apart, check to make sure the drive shafts, running from the trans case to the front and rear diffs, aren't like hanging up on something or catching on something....

Status: offline 		the diffs checked out ok. i pulled the trans out and it now rolls both directions with no obstructions. i took the trans case apart and opened it up. when i got inside, all gears looked fine, but there is one gear with a built in bearing that slide over a plastic shaft that is built into the tranny case. well, that plastic shaft it broke off of the inside of the case so i now need a new case. it was tough pulling the cases apart, but i pulled straight out and i don't think i damaged it in my disassembly but i could be wrong. i will get a new case and figure out how all these gears go back in and see if my problem is solved.
