Is it just me or does the VX.18 have no low end torque? It seems to me that most of its power comes in at the high rpm range. Is the SH.18 any different in its torque curve? Does the SH.18 have more low end torque? Asking some questions as I am looking for another motor for my TUW.

ya i always had not too much low end torque but i retuned my volcano the other day and i got tons now, its weird, its like 110 plus outside and i did like 2 turns out on the hsn and around flush with the collar and it was screamin. dont know why but i liked it, and i went up to payson with it (its not as hott but still az) and it was still a beast.

Wow sorry to hear that bro.. i have never had a Carb go out on me on my Himoto's or when i had redcats. you have the slide carb??
if you have the slide carb make sure the servo is set to pull it out straight. sometimes when the servo pulls on it it yanks it to the side. and sooner or later it will start to stick.... my friend had his slide carb stick on him at 1/2 speed... lucky he was only a few feet away when it happened and he picked it up........

If you are looking for more low end power then get a torque pipe. They are short and fat. Rpm pipes are long and skinny and give you more high rpm range
