Hi KP - please help us by advising which version of the Irvine 40 you have: ringed or ABC? Natural alum coloured crankcase or the red anodised?

I have the natural alum coloured crankcase versions of the 40 & 46 (ringed & ABC) with instructions, so sending you a scanned copy is no big deal. If that's the copy you seek, please send me a PM

Another thing to consider, i think the newer Irvine engines come with OS carbs, so the factory needle settings will be different

Besides, as long as the needle is somewhere near it should be too hard to get it started and then tweak the needle for rich running

Anyway, i should have the instructions for an old Irvine 40 somewhere, i'll have a look in a bit

*edit* oh yeah, i'll also add, the Irvine 40 is really sweet engine, mines been on 3 models, been in 1 nose first crash and has never missed a beat
