So I need some opinions here. I have a Matrix Truggy and Buggy. I am ABOUT to go 2.4ghz. I have my eye on the SPEKTRUM DX3.0 so I can run the same transmitter for both of my rigs with the two included receivers. I am barely into club racing at a local track but looking to take my cars to a couple of races this summer. Is this radio sytem a good idea or is it obsolete. I know there are more expensive radio systems out there but I am trying to go for a good radio system that is crystal free that might work for both of my cars. I have also looked at the FUTABA 2.4 system but that one is a little pricier and includes just one receiver... What do you guys think? Thanks.

I run a DX3.0 and I like it fine. My only real problem with it is the minimal amount of model memories it has. It could use more.

I love my DX3.0. Great value, especially with two receivers in the box.

i heard that they're discontinuing the 2nd receiver in with the box, but i doubt it considering my LHS just got another one in and it came with the 2nd receiver....i think the LHS that told me about it is just taking the 1 out and charging $80 for it

What radio are you currently using? If you bought a RTR Cen buggy or truggy, I am going to guess you have an Airtronics MX-3? If you do use that radio you may want to look at getting the Airtroncis MX-3 FHSS. You will be use to the features if you currently use the MX-3

If you shop around you may find it a little cheaper

The Dx3R looks like the sh*t, i was a bout to buy one until a friend of mine who was actualy qualified for the A-main decided to change his transmitter batteries and the system went out of synch, he couldn't find the little card that you need to bind the radio and receiver result, he missed his first ever a-main qualification...
I would've probably got one if i did not witness this event.
Other than this problem the DX3R Is top notch.
