I have a Revo 3.3 that I bought used from an RCU member. I dropped an OS 21 into it and have broken in the engine. Problem is, this thing does not take off like I've seen other Revo's do from a stop. It is really really slow and never really launches like I think it should. Should I start with some adjustments to the slipper clutch?

Does the engine bogg down like it is under load or does it rev up and the speed doesn't really match?

make sure your slipper is set right,,,inspect the clutch shoes,,,,then check the tune on your engine..

First off the O.S motors need a good gallon before they really wake up, but it sounds like the LSN is really rich. I know the needles usually are very rich on the O.S motors. I am not sure if you tried tuning it yet but thats were I would start.

The slipper was definitely loose. The engine would really wind up with hardly any acceleration. Tightening made an incredible difference. Now I'm fighting a new battle. The engine won't start- tried a new plug, cleaned the fuel filter, etc etc. Basically done everything in the manual but it still won't fire. Turns over just fine, pulls fuel in fine, not flooded, brand new plug.

SOunds like your ignitor battery is too weak to get a good start. Put some locktite on your adjusting nut for the slipper so it wont come loose like that again. As the clutch slipps they tend to work themselves loose.

Like mspeed mentioned, double check ur starter and/or ignitor battery to make sure they are fully charged....
