Agreed, but the target audience for Traxxas vehicles seems to only want RTR, so that's all we're going to see out of them. Just more TQs to add to our collections

Quick-looked on eBay...tons of Traxxas engines on there, should bring 80 to 100 for a new 3.3.
The radio and servos, maybe 30 to 50. Wouldn't matter what I get for them, still gives some return on the purchase price.
Only the best for my rigs, O.S. and Futaba.

Never owned Traxxas. Whats up with the Rad's and Eng's? I've got an extra HPI .25 and an XTM 247. How would these compare to the 3.3???

Both of those motors will spank a 3.3 imo.The radios suck and the 3.3 is a very poor motor thats hard to tune and don't last more than a couple gallons at best.Get a good radio along with the 247 and it would fly if you could keep it together.

Settled then. I'll go ahead and burn up the 3.3 then slap in one of my standby's. Radios I like my MX3 to controll all my rigs. I guesss the only thang now is wait til J 31. Can't wait

Looks like the slayer might get some of the anti traxxas guys venturing into unknown territory.

Hey do you guys know if this thing uses 2.2 wheels?
If so this is going to be my new st racer.
Strap me some bowties on there and maybe throw on an os, with my mx3 fhss, and im ready to burn some rubber.
Thats if this thing handles like the revo.
Do you guys think it would handle like the revo?

No reason why the wheels would be different. Slayers WB is 12mm shorter which is about 1/2 inch, its 7mm taller but all other measurements are the same. I suppose you could use your wheel set-up but won't you need 2 sets or rears because the fronts won't have drive hex's.......right?

I take this back. If they are crawler wheels then they would be drive wheels and everything would work. Cool. Which wheel you have anyway?

I hope traxxas didnt have to make the inside diameter larger around the rims to fit the big revo axle carriers. That would make some real limitations.

Now you got me wondering the same thing. This here comes staight off Traxxas.com

"A unique dual-diameter rim design allows for realistic sidewall proportions without compromising suspension clearance and articulation,....."

I wonder if this mean the out side will have a 2.2 apperance while the inner side will have a wider diameter. That will mean there will have to be a whole new breed of tire and you won't be able to pick your fave 2.2 tire. Just like you said..."limitations"

Matt, Traxxas might just soak up some of the hpi and AE guys. Those who never tried the revo will be in for a learning curve, those who have will know whats good and what needs tweeking to give you problem free performance. I am sure the assumptions will fly all over the place with the new guys venturing into traxxas territory for the first time. I bet AE is working on a CORR truck right now.

I just googled it and I came up with a website, Apparently it's got 2.2 wheel diameters so we will be able to use all of our fav wheels
