I'm finaly stuck, at the final stage of my extensive job.. the final peice is failing.

Hear's the deal: I have converted a non smoke & sound tiger 1 to a smoke & sound one, but when I installed everything the left (lower) engine would not work properly. It did not go forward, only reverse. I thought it was some faulty connection so I resolded the engine cable and the powersuply cable (the one that goes from the battery to the main board) but no change. The only thing that happend was that now nothing works at all.. only a "clickclickclickclick" sound from the speaker when I turn the power on. If anyone could post a picture how it's suposed to look like and maybe someone knows what the heck is troubeling me? I hardly think the board is burned, it was working perfectly (except forward on left lower engine).

Please help me out, thank's (in advance)!!

/Gabriel

I have been checking it out Blitz, the FAQ is nice stuff! But that board did not look like mine, that's why I asked see.. On the FAQ thred there was a powercable to the receiver but on mine there are none.. all three cables from the switch are going straight to the main board. Is it right or wrong?

You put power somewhere where it shouldn't have gone and have now joined the Heng Long Burned Boards Club! Welcome aboard and drop in your spare!

2 wires on the switch, one to battery, one to board. Check out this pic.

Argh.. so much work and crap result. I have spent 12 hours today with no break fixing my tank with steel wheels and other upgrades. What a waste.

Burned board club. It has a nice ring to it, dosent it? Well, better burned than not knowing what's wrong. Thank's for helping me with that hehe.

Any sugestions were I can find a replacement? And do I have to change everyting? Like the crystal, speaker, receiver or do I only replace the main board?

Just the main board. I know, I blew one up the other day when the kids interrupted my soldering. Didn't take kindly to being wired backwards and funny sounds started coming out of the speaker too! Usually they just make little popping sounds and start smoking!

Let's see, you're in Europe, how about Asiatam.de?

See my signature? Next time, don't go tanking without 'em!

That sounded eaven more frustrating to be interupted :\ I was just exhausted and to eager to start driving around. Well, wount make the same missake twice hehe

I have made two big orders from them already, and I am happy with them but something is strange with their webshop, there are almost no items.. well a little, but not as much as it used to be. I will try tankzone.co.uk this time I think.

Haha! Okey, now I understand the meaning of that signature.. I have been woundering what it ment you see :P I will order x2 so I have 1 spare atleast.
