Im looking at buying a fibre fuselage for my belt cp. The one i really like is ofcourse the airwolf with retracts or the jetranger. Just wondering if the extra weight is a big issue witht he battery time, motor, esc....
Can anyone talk from experience? and help is greatly appreciated

If i may redirect you to the 2 guys i consider the best to ask this question. CrashCrash and LOHchief in the tuner thread. They are both heavy into scale Kings. As far as i know, they never leave the King Tuner thread...Which explains why you must "seek" their knowledge.

Peace!

Z

No sir, no joke. Either PM either one of those gentlemen or go to THIS PAGE and ask this question. Note: the link I gave is the last page of the thread at the time(page 191). As you can see this thread is massive with that many pages....I think the official name of the thread in King v2 tuner Thread.

Peace,

Z

quick answer to the question is the heavier the fuselage the more strain you are going to put on your electronics. With a heavy body you will or may have heat issues which is you electronics greatest enemy. Being your looking at a 450 size fuselage, you should keep the weight down as much as you can with stock electronics. Some people bump up to a 4s battery and a larger ESC to handle the weight of the FG bodies. I will say if you are going to fly scale and you are using the stock ESKy 25 amp ESC, it will not last long its just barely good enough for the stock Belt cp and nothing more than slow flying and hovering.

mmm i see. So it would probably be better looking at a plastic fuselage? i was thinking of going with retracts but but might stay clear to save weight....
i just cant help myself the fuselage look so good!

Im not trying to tell you one way or another. Buy what you feel you will be happy with. FG, Plastic... If you crash them they will all end up the same. If you have good electronics and probably a good brand of 3s 11.1v 2100 MAH 20C battery packs you may get 5-7 minutes of flying with the FG fuselage(Mabey).

Yes, The UH-1 Huey will fit the Belt CP. Im putting one on one of my belt cps. I'll post a pict soon. The belt CP is a non eccpm. I have to do a little hacking of the upper cowling(and making it look neat). I'll try to get your email answered by the end of the day.
I have the Belt CP Chassis basically fitted into the UH-1 Huey and just a note, you will have to take off and land from a smooth surface. The tail blade will sit closer to the ground(If you do not go elevated tail) and if you dont make some kind of tail stinger, youre gonna wear out a set of tailblades pretty quick

Heres a Pic of the UH-1 Huey in a belt CP. The body with skids and painted weighs in at 136 grams. My Jet Ranger weighs less.
