Are you sure the Razor is two speed? I think you might have the 1/10 scale buggy. The razor seems to be a single speed.

i do not have the car yet, it will arrive here on monday (tomorrow). i went to the rc store to ask some questions about it, find out about buying parts, and how to get on the track. he looked it up on the net and told me i was making a misstake for buying an exceed rc. that is when he told me about it being a 2 speed transmission and i will not be aloud on the track if i buy that car unless i change it to a single speed. of course he tried to sell me one of his cars so he could have been lying lol....i can not find that it is a 2 speed, i am going on what he told me after he checked out there web site.

i was thinking if it was a 2 speed i could go ahead and order the parts i need to change it

It works well. Just can be a little slow to get started. I'd suggest you give the pull start several good tugs to loosen it up before you try to start it. Yours might be better, but when my car first arrived the pull start was so darn tight, I had to tug at it a lot before it loosened up to a more usable tension. You will have to wait a good 2-3 hours for the glow start to charge anyway, so you might as well get it ready then. Loosen up the pull start and make sure the servo works right. Then just follow the break in procedure.

Got my razor today!!!!! Love it. the guy at the rc shop was full of it. the car is a single speed.
On the other hand. I had the car for 1 hour and the pull string broke. No offence but that is kind of crappy. After waiting a week for it to get here it really sucked having to take it to the shop before I could play. I went to a different rc shop and they put on a auto start for me. I ran several tanks of fuel threw it then took it back and let them do the final adjustments. Car runs awesome.

Thanks for all your help and sorry for the confusion
