Hi guys,
thought I'd share a good pic of my Tiger 111, now that I've more or less finished her.

Matt

Looking good! Realy nice weather effects Have you used a brush or airbrush when you painted?

Just one thing, I think you have twisted the muzzle break 45 degrees. Looks like it.. maybe I'm incorrect? Anyhow, nice job! You should be a happy man

great job on weathering. Could trim down the antenna a bit and flip the mantlet to put the gunner on the correct side. Your gun crew didn't screw the muzzle brake on all the way and lock it down. Have to agree on the background and photography....very nice.

well spotted guys, your absolutely right, the muzzle brake is 45 degrees out! I used cyano glue to fix it on when I put in the barrel lengthener, and I got it all perfectly lined up and all......30 seconds pass......"oh damn and blast!". I've tried removing it, but I'll break the gun before the glue, so I'm leaving it well alone.

The weathering is all brush painted. I think it turned out quite well.

I did wonder about the antenna PattonCommander, how much would you recommend cutting it back by?

I took a video at the same time, unfortunately the battery in the tank was lacking at that point, so she's not got as much "umph" available to her. I'm waiting for another nice day off to play in the garden!

most tank antennas are about 9 feet. Both my tigers have antenna moved to correct location & cut back to 6", which is close, guaging from photos without any noticable effect of RC response. How 'bout that UHU?? Proper length for a Tiger antenna
Very nice job of hand painting the weathering.

Hey... if you shorten the external antenna, wouldn't you need to lengthen the inside wiring by the amount of antenna you remove to maintain the same degree of reception and range? I was thinking about combining Pzrwest's internal mod with a shortened external antenna to hopefully eliminate dead spots the internal antenna gives at about 50 yds when turning right [internal is mounted in the left rear corner].

The Tiger looks good. Don't forget to reposition the antenna to the proper location on the right rear deck... here's a link to a thread about antenna positioning with a pic.
