My Blade CX landed in some water and was totally submerged. I dried it out, checked the motors and servos. All seem OK. I replaced the 4 in 1 and crystals, and recharged the battery. When I tested it without the body on it seemed to work OK. So I put the body back together and tried it again but the LED on the 4 in 1 flashes from red to green. The throttle is off and the throttle trim is at the bottom. I could really use some help. I hate to buy another heli after I just bought a new 4 in 1 and crystals.

Test out the motors, plug them directly into the battery to see if they work. It seems like the Tx is giving it throttle, that is what that blinking means. Did you get the right crystals? Make sure your trim on the throttle is all the way down. Other then that, not sure.

Are you saying everything worked(motors, servos) before you put the body back on? I have crashed my CX2 really hard and some times the receiver does not arm the first go round. Is the light showing on the receiver? Most of the time when the receiver does not arm I run the throttle all the way up and then back to the bottom. This usually does the trick. Could be cause I have dropped the transmitter a couple of times. Please give a little more info.

I tested the motors by plugging them into the battery. I've tried moving the throttle stick to full and back again and still nothing. After I replaced the 4 in 1, it worked fine with the old crystals and the body off, but when I put the body back on it wouldn't work. That,s when I tried some new crystals. When you first plug the battery in, the LED flashes red, then alternates from red to green continuously. I've checked the battery ballance. It's OK. I'm running out of ideas.

murry,

The flashing light on the 4-1 generally means that it is not arming. "Could" it be that your Transmitter batteries are low? The way I read your post is....the 4-1 worked after the rebuild, it armed and all was well. Then "alls" you did was slip on the body and she now fails to arm, right? Could you have loosened a terminal connector from the 4-1 to the receiver? The guys have given you every other suggestion that I know of so I offer these.

Good Luck JPee

Try putting the old crystals back in. Maybe the new crystals you picked up don't match correctly?

Yeah I tried old crystals, new crystals, motors hooked up, motors not hooked up, servos hooked up, servos not hooked up. I,m wondering if the old motors could have burnt the 4 in 1 out.

Hey Murray,

When you changed your 4-1 could it be possible you got one stab-on wire in the wrong place? I did this on my Blade 400 twice! There is a mess of wire there. I would offer to trace mine back my wires and report but my heli is a CX2 Spectrum so I can't.
I am just kinda thinking out loud here. Have you called Horizon and asked them to trouble shoot your problem? its free...............Have you spoken with your local Hobby Shop? My in Hobby Shop here in Los Angeles California only charge $25.00 per hour for their work, its just a thought. The last thought I have is............you might take an Ohm meter and check each motor for an open or a closed circuit where it shouldn't be. Again Horizon might be able to help you with that.

Did you try to re-bind the heli to the transmitter?

I just read in your hand book that the throttle stick is all of the way back YOU MUST make sure the throttle trim slider is at ZERO too! otherwise it won't arm. Perhaps you bumped it?
Also Horizon has a phone number for this matter at 877-504-0233

Good luck and let us know how this turns out.....JPee

Thanks alot guys for your suggestions. I've tried everything that you have mentioned and more. I will call Horizon and see if they can help, but I'm thinking that the motors may have drawn too much current and cooked the 4 in 1. Thanks again.
