I just got an e-revo and simmilar battereis to the ones you got though they were venom which i hear are bad, i got 20 minutes not racing but not going easy. The e-revo can fit a 7 cell but not a stacked one. I saw some lipos that were about 7v and 4000 and they were flat and about as long as a 6 cell nimh and you could fit 2 or 3 of those in the battery compartment. What exactly is a 2s2p a 2 cell lipo? If it is the same size or smaller than a 7cell nimh or nicad it will fit.

I was going to buy these http://www.a123racing.com/racingpacks/hs2s2p.html

they have less voltage than a normal lipo but they can be charged in 30 minutes or so. I was hoping someone had used these in an e-revo. I figured if i can get 20 minutes or so of bashing with them the recharge is only 30 minutes or so. So I would buy 4 packs and while one pack is running the other packs can be charged with only about 10 minutes of down time. At some point i will figure out to make my own packs and hopefully be able to increase the mah avalible .

I'm just wondering if they fit in the e-revo .

I use them in the old Widemaxx using gorilla straps and velcro strips and in the new Emaxx they fit after I put long screws in the battery hold down straps. Haven't really seen how long they can go but I usually switch them out at 30 mins. This is with using the turbo at 8.4 each.

I think technically an A123 pack is 1mm too thick for the E-Revo battery boxes. This is just according to the specs for the two products. I haven't heard if they can be "persuaded" to fit. Hopefully someone has an answer, but you might have to check another section of the forum that has more traffic and more E-Revo users. Be sure to let us know what you find out though.

I stopped by my LHS yesterday and fit checked those same packs in an E-Revo. There is plenty of room lenthwise, the packs make contact on top and bottom height wise, but width wise, you will need to have a gorrilla strap or some thing as the packs stick out about 1/2" or so.

As for runtime - I ran my packs in my homebrew E-Revo running a HV-Maxx 4.5 and I got about 15-20 minutes bashing time in. They had just a little more power than my 4200 IB six packs did.

So the packs make contact height-wise...but can you still fit them in there?

I have an e revo and ran the 6.6v 4600's in series with a mamba max esc and feigao 8l motor. They do fit. Quite snugly, but not perfectly. I adjusted the tabs to limit forward/backward movement and used a velcro strap to hold the sides up because they just barely don't close. The a123 racing leads are rather short so I made a series connector with fairly long leads on one side. Only been out twice so far and got about 15-20 minutes with fairly "spirited" driving. One of my batteries seems to be dead and unable to charge so until that's resolved thats all I can do. Hopefully that helps.
