I have gone through 2 align motors while the first one lasted quite a while the replacement motor lasted about a month. The shaft bearing on both went bad. The second new motor the bearing came loose from the inside of the motor casing so it wasnt all the way in the casing causing side play a nasty grinding sound and loss of power. Any body know of a better motor? Im usinga 25 amp speed control and a 430L 3150KV motor and dont really want to change esc s right now.

Scorpion makes several motors for that size Heli. I am going to replace my Trex 600s Align motor with a scorpion they are releasing end of July.

i thought the align ones seemed pretty decent, i helped a friend build a trex with one of the 3550kv motors and its got plenty of power with the 35a esc and hes been using it regularly for about 5months now and its been through a few hard crashes and its still going strong, so maybe you were unlucky or maybe some of their motors are built better than others.

I have a Scorpion on my CopterX. Same price range as the Aligns
At the time I ordered it I couldnt find a 6 or an 8 anywhere.
I bought the 3000kv 10 and put a 16 tooth pinion on it.
I couldnt be happier. While I am not into hard core 3D, It doesnt bog.
I am using the 45A scorpion ESC. Both the motor and ESC are only slightly warm to the touch after each battery pack.
Which by the way are the El-Cheapo $20 ABF 2200mah 20C's that last almost 20min. with this set up.

I dont have any complaints on the power just how long the motor last. Is it good to oil the motor occasionally the manual that came with the motor said oil it after like every 5 flights or something like that. Is triflow oil alright for these motors? Mines a 430L Brushless Motor, 3150kV RCM-BL430L My ESC is the align 25 Amp model
