I was just in a local electronics outlet today and I saw a Esky v6 for 99$
Is this a deal or is this something that is strictly parts from China
I have seen the V4, nice but how does the v6 compare with the v5 execpt for body.
V6 said nothing on the box about 2.4 h
wonder if it is a 2.4 and if I could fly it with my dx6i or if being of a diff mfg then my tx it is not compatable with it.

If you can get a v3 for $69.95 including shipping, or a v4 for $88, and the Comanche's for around $109, I'd think the $99 is a good deal.

yes I paid 56$ plus tax for my v-3 and after I wore it out I took it back and got my money back. I see the Llamam v5 is 129$ locally but this one store is the only place I have even seen a v-6 at and its a electronics store (Fry's) big big stores think there is one in Phonix.

see if I can find the link. the v5 looks much like the v3 only its dingy brown and has diff head, v6 looks like the v4 with the diff head. Dont remember if the v6 had the 2.4 radio I do not remember seeing it advertised on the box and I was looking for that feature. Same with the v5.
If I dont find the link I think I will try and take a pic of the boxes or get a part number off them.

STOP!!!! HOLD IT!! I take back what I said about the v6 being a potentially good deal.

I saw one this morning at Fry's Electronics. It LOOKS remarkably like the v4 body with differnet decals, BUT the plastic head parts looked suspicioulsy different - a little shinier & maybe a cheaper quality. NOWHERE did it say E-Sky on the box.

Someone on another forum posted an inquiry into finding parts - his photos show slightly different configurations for some of the parts & he had a problem with one of the swashplate balls breaking off & a replacement v3-4 swashplate is positioned differently & wont fit his v6.

Looks like the v6 is a cheaper knockoff with some good features, but not 100% compatible for the most commonly breakable parts.

thanks I was getting worried as I couldnt google it either seems it is a clone. Figures Fry's would do that, they sell a lot of real junk that is clones including Power supplys and at one time memory clones. they have been in trouble with a few mfg over the years for selling counterfit merchandise. That was a really good link it put the whole thing up in Lights
Come to think of it I think the Lama v5 was called the Coco or something like that and it had a diff head then the v3 or the v4. That was at a LHS, if I get back in there I am going to look closely at the box...another clone?

I just saw that Xheli.com has Lama v4's on sale for $77. Use coupon code CJFREE2 for free shipping. You can't get a better price anywhere else - it's worth it just to get one for spare parts
