I notice that the more gain I have the slower the piro rate and less gain gives me faster piro rate.

How can I get a fast piro rate and have high gain?

Proper gain is just enough to hold the tail well in any manuver you are capable of, running more gain than that is unneeded, bad for the servo, and despite Futabas claim of stick demand over riding the gyro, it slows the piro rate.

Now, if you really want to have a little fun, set up a PMix that decreases the value of the gain channel as you increase rudder in either direction. Best to make sure your battery and equipment is tied down if you do that though

LOL OK!

Thanks for the quick info, now I am better informed. I always thought 60-65 was too low and I was doing something wrong.
