So we have 1/16 scale tanks and half tracks but what other 1/16 WW2 vehicles do you own, this is my 1/16 scale 1940’s GMC army truck, it was once a dump truck but with a few alterations and a bit of time this is the end result and it looks great next to the Sherman, so what do you have next to your tanks, pics please.

Here's my Red Army ZIS-5 in 1/16, scratchbuilt, using a 1931 Minicraft Ford Model A Pickup Kit and a very heavily modified Kenworth Aerodyne Chassis. I built the wooden cab out of scribed styrene.

steerable via the front wheels and a rubber tube differential.....drive's nicely.....it has a working searchlight too......

Glad to see there are a lot of hours going into these trucks and they look great for it. I like to think i am a handy modeller but i would not know where to start on a scratch built model or converting to R/C i am very impressed.

Wozwasnt, i got the model from Ebay, it is a 1/16 diecast truck made by GMP, so it has a very high standard finish and great detail, i got it from the U.S so with the shipping it cost me about £40 BARGAIN

Here's some more pics

Great weathering Job there. Firefly! (Looks just like the Army Truck we rode back from the firing range in...We had to "wash it down" with a Firehose! ) My Cargo Truck was really more of a "kit bash" than a full-on "scratch" build.

BTW....Has anybody out there tried to scratchbuild a Daimler "Dingo" Scout Car in 1/16 scale ???

Hi guys.
One of my unfinished prodjects is a 1/16 DUKW. I've come to a bit of a halt with it as I'm struggling to find suitabe wheels for it!
regarding the dingo , I think it would be quite straight forward as they seem to be made up of flat panels, again there is the wheel issue though.
regards
Frank

i saw a programme on the history channel recently that said the DUKW body was placed on the chassis of a US GMC 4x4 truck.
