Well I have decided to get into 1/8 scale buggies. I have a GT2 and I love it but there are not too many gas trucks in my town to run races with. I have done some shopping around and I have come up with a combo to get this thing race ready. Tell me what you guys think?

Buggy kit

Nova P5

receiver

Servo 2 Jr's

Hump pack

Bowties

Pipe

Am I missing anything?

Um a starter box if you dont already have one.
And i have a question
How do you change the links to the name you want it to be like pipe and nova.

Buggy- Any of the top buggy kits will be competetive in the hands of the right
driver with the proper setup. If you go with the RC8 make sure you get over to
RC10.com and join the forums as there is a wealth of info there that you will
need.

What does your LHS support the best?

For the base RC8 Team Setup you will also need the following items
5000wt diff oil F/C/R
50/55/45 wt shock oil
Silver sway bar.
RTR plastic shock caps, 2.5mm set screws, a #57 drill bit, a 2mm drill bit and
either a rebuild kit for the shocks or some other way to fabricate the internal
limiters. This mod is detailed on the forum.

Engine- Well I'm not really sure you can ever go wrong with a Nova, but there
are alot to choose from if thats your budget range

Reciver- I'm guessing your already Spectrum.

Servos- Good choice, a little expensive and sold out. You might want to look at the
ACE 1015. Compares well spec wise with the JRs and is a little cheaper. I run a 1015
on the steering and a 1313 on the throttle. Good servos is one of the best upgrades
I have made so far.

RX Pack- Um thats not going to cut it on a full day of racing with high draw servos.
Try the 2500mah Stickman pack or go Lipo with a regulator.

Tires- Bowties are great if thats what works on your track. What are the fast guys running on your home
track?

Pipe- Good budget choice, you might also look at the TT2035 or the AE FT pipe. The AE pipe is the 2035
with a nonstick coating, both get great reviews from the AE forums and are cheaper than a 9886.

All good equipment, the only suggestion I would have, Jsk said, get a stick reciever pack (5 cells in a row) On the RC8 it will allow you to position the battery more towards the center line of the car and probably give a better balance. If you go with a hump pack you will need to mount it where the reciever goes and vise versa, The battery is heavier than the reciever and it's better to have the weight closer to the center

I don't own an RC8 but I've heard AE will be releasing big bore shocks for the buggy soon
