Yes! Please post some pics! I don't have the money to afford such a big scale model but would love to see the beast. At 1/24 scale, my guess would be that it's about twice the size of the Robbe U-47.

Glad to see someone else likes 'em super sized!

I've got a 1/25 Type VIIc/41 on order with Mylo Hall of Canada who recently finished his master & is now in the process of making a few kits for sale. What you see here is what is will be offered in the kit with the tower coming pre-assembled. Dave Merriman has been assisting him with the dual tank ballast system to get as close as possible to the actual sub's performance. What I find most impressive is that this is Mylo's first scratch-built sub with some assistance & coaching from Steve Neill & Kevin McLeod. He plans to follow with a Type II, VIIc, IX & XXI.

You can find his build threads over at SubCommittee Mylo's Type VIIc/41 where you can also contact him regarding kits.

Hi all here are the photos of the typeVIIC hull and running gear and a shot of the 1/72 scale type viic kit on the deck as well the hull is approx length 128 inches 10 feet 6 odd inches did not have the tape measure handy and about 11 inches in the beam again no tape when you need one.
Good to see our Canadian friends building in a big scale as well good on you guys.
The rest of the fleet all 1/48 scale HMS THUNDERBOLT ww2,HMAS COLLINS,AND A HMAS OBERON boat as well as a 1/48 USS 212 GROUPER a GATO CLASS BOAT ww2 . and a few large scale surface targets sorry ships that we are being building as well.
We have to do some more to the hull yet like the jobbing hull plating ,torpedo tubes etc and keen to get her in the water building one as a AA FLAK wintergarden sub and the other as U96 DAS BOOT. We sail in the river Derwent our local river/southern ocean with some unreal rough weather my winter garden model will sport a online web feed so will keep you guys posted as to how she goes with two video cameras one on the fwd #1 torpedo should be some fun to see.Great to see some interest in this big scale and hope to see more all our hulls and fittings are 100 percent scratch built by us till next time take care oldcaferacer.

Good to see the big boys come out to play - your work looks great!! The one comparison shot looks like you have a Seahund on the back deck.

At 1/25, Mylo's is just under 3m as you can see with the smaller version in front. My challenge will be finding a way to ship my kit to China while still convincing my wife it cost me under a grand!

I failed to mention that I belong to TF72 & know a few modelers down your way. I build in a variety of scale but this will be the largest model, by far, for me.

there are over 25 pages of posts in 3 build threads in the subcomittee forum.......a lot to review looking for contact info. Do you have some direct link for contacting him about buying a kit? Thanks.
