I want to start very small. I have a air hogs little airplane, but it is not what i thought it would be. I am looking for something around the same size doesnt have to be fast by any means. Just something to introduce me into rc planes. any opinions?

If you are just starting out, go to www.Towerhobbies.com and check out some of their trainer packages that will get you in the air quick. Seek help from someone who will teach you, don't try to do it yourself.

If you are really serious about the hobby, visit a local club field. They'll answer any questions you may have and help you get started. If you just want something simple though to goof around at home, check out some of the micro and indoor flyers...

I don't have any personal experience but some of them say they are suitable outdoors on calm days. Another, slighlty larger option is the Super Cub:

IMO Ernbar has the correct approach to learning to fly. Get a .40 sized trainer with a good rep and have someone help you. Playing with those Radio Shack toys is a waste of time.

I second the Sig Kadet LT .40. You won't find a better flying trainer anywhere. There are lots of other good ones but this one is the best.

A good airframe and a reliable, user friendly engine are necessary for a great experience with the new hobby.
