the old nitro rs4 rally cars where just nitro rs4 on road car's with diffrent shock tower's, taller shock's, and larger wheel's/rally tire's.

im not sure if the lower a-arms were longer or not...that might have been the super.

HPI's site will give you the answer to what parts they used on those car's...the manual's should all still be there for download, and im sure you can still find the part's you need/want from HPI.

find what?

you should be able to cross refrence the part's to find out what part's they still use, or what part's are similar.

im sure you can find shock's, wheel's and tires to get your rally build going...im just unsure of the A-arms.

im thinking they used longer A-arms for the Super nitro RS4 rally....which would explain the huge wheels/tires and 300mm body's.

for your 200mm rally build....i would try longer shock's and some larger wheel's with rally tires.....like someone above said...you may need to notch the 2.5mm chassis plate to allow the A-arms to travel down further than allowed for the on-road setup...but its not alot of notching...just where the pivot pin goes through the A-arm.

you should be able to figure out somthing for fairly cheap, and with minimal work.

its a hobby....you just gotta figure it out, and make it work sometimes.

yeah...i dont know how long the evo+ shocks are, but id imagine they are the same shocks HPI has been using forever on the nitro rs4 series.

see if you can find out how long the rally rs4 shocks were....it should say in the downloadable manual on HPI's site...then look for a shock that length.

FYI..tower hobbies still sells rally tires in 26mm...they also sell the super rally tires and wheel's....that should help out with ground clearence.

from what i can see...it looks like the rs4 rally cars were 3/4"-1" off the ground (under the chassis)

there are a bunch of video's on your tube that show the rally rs4's in pretty good detail.

the pirelli rally tires will work on standard 1/10 scale 26mm wheel's.

arent there any cheaper plastic shock's that are longer?

those aluminum ones are nice, but it will suck if one gets damaged off roading.

its your call though.

plus those aluminum shocks will need a sleeve and a bolt to mount them....they dont mount like the rs4 shock's do.
