not much of the firehammer left now Roger. Looks good my friend.
I see RN are planning a comeback and are pledging that they will be making more pipes here's their web page latest. http://www.rntuning.nl/onzeproducten.asp?DocID=14000&From=List&langue=..my fgbaja needs a facelift so I'm thinking beetle baja and then search out an rn6012...don't think they'll be making the 6004 for a long time. I've seen a few 6012 for sale on marketplas in holland recently. Might even try the 4x4 kit later this year

Hey Rc Martin..Yes these marine heads were and still are used by boat guys....The heads are thicker and are ported...
You can use CY or Zen bottom ends...Heads are 2 bolt or 4 bolt....This set up makes some serious power......
Thanks for looking at my thread..I hope it will help ya out with the info........Slawhammer

You post some time back has kept me inspired and intrest of that engine setup....
So with the tax return was able to go ahead and persue this.....Great hearing from ya......Slawhammer

Hey Lars my friend....I did not measure the wheel adapters...They slide on the axle like the FG drive squares to the up rights...guessing may be 1" more(25mm) extends more past the threads
where the axle nut goes for the FG......
Now I have been busy..I remover the 29 CC Billet Head Engine.....I built up a new engine...4 bolt zenoah lower case..Fast Eddie Bearings...Oil seals.CY 28mm solid stock crank...
case gasket...Cy Piston & ring..Pin washer ..caps c-clips..copper head gasket.....4 Bolt marine head I modified....Dark Soul Alloy Cooling Head....Alloy ADA Intake with teflon gaskets
WT 771 Carb ,,Vol stack and a uni- flow air filter with red neck outer cover....CY clutch case complete withe shoes & Red Spring....Alloy Engine Mounts....New RN Fat Monster Pipe...
All Installed read to fire up..,,,,Due to bad weather ,,not able to so so yet........All new FG Shocks...All the way around....Old firehammer shocks not worth the rebuild........
More up grades to come later.....Enclosed pictures....................All Replies Welcome..............Slawhammer

I new I wanted a 4 bolt engine...And I have read about the marine head used for cars & trucks ,,that would make crazy power Fat Monster Pipe
made insane power with a good engine....The claim is 6+ HP from all this that has been done.....Maybe more than is controlable use...
I will let ya know...I know there ia another 4 Bolt Billet head engine kit ADA product......I plan on building up another engine 27.7 CC

David0666...Hey my friend...long time to hear from ya.....Well you have seen many changes made to the firehammer ..from almost the very start..
It has taken on a great trasformation....been up grading for the past 10 months....Tried to run many times in between...But kept braking down
problem after problem......Was a total basket case.......Yup..Smartech/f150 Big Foot firehammer ..when I got it.......Now I call it the "Slawhammer Special"
about the only main part left is the chassie pan...Other wise all FG Parts......AS to a video...I will try and get a couple taken....The weather is still
crappy out....Rain now I guess for the next 3 to 5 days.....So all in all I am still waiting to get this fired up.......
Thanks my long time friend for your reply................All Replies Welcome....Slawhammer.....................

Wow, that sounds mean! Have you got to actually run it yet? By the way, all I had to do to use the link was remove the 2 forward slashes in front of the www. www.youtube.com/watch?v=P40jhiH2hTQ.
edit: hmm, now it isn't working. Weird. It only works if you copy and past it to the address bar apparently.

Ok I will have to repost the video in you tube...

As to run it....No & yes......By that I mean ..I t ran for maybe 30 seconds and froze..I had to take it part way down
To get to the fly wheel ...added break free in the spark plug hole and worked it loose with a strap wrench.....
Only thing I can think of was not enough oil on the piston ring and inside cylinder on assembly.....
Re put back together.....then out side...would not start....found bad coil.....replaced the coil....
now back out again....this time vroom vroom..Ran about 2 minutes and shut down was getting dark out......
I went out today for only about 15 to 20 minutes....Ran it a little..only up to 1/2 throttle....almost done on first tank of fuel..
That thing spins the tires like crazy.....Ya have to squeeze the trigger real ease.....as not to spin the tires.....
I had to switch the baja rear wheels back to the firehammer wheels.......That engine will rip the tread off the wheels.....
It is going to be a real power house of a engine......I will see if I can get a sample video taken while breaking in the engine
to give ya a idea.......Thank for fixing the link.....Slawhammer

I hate it when there are thunder storms..loose all power..and inner net service....Like just get service up and get in to forum and
bang the power shuts off....Not much going on ..just going over the firehammer ..making small adjustments and rechecking all nuts,bolts,screws...
for any that may have vibrated loose by testing the engine....Slawhammer

Ohio here....Welcome back to clod hopper land..some what nice day in between the rain.....
so I fired up my slawhammer special....started right up on second pull of the pull start..Vrooom vrooooom vroooom she goes..let warm up
while putting on the body,,The new engine seems to be loosing up ...started on the # 3 tank of fuel.....going mixed throttle...low speed ..mid
range and wide open full throttle......Now it is hard to not hit the small puddles made by the rain....so I got it dirty..not super ugly but dirty..
No shelf queen here.......I guess I ran about 20 minutes before the rain again...had one one to take along with me to do a video...
So I took a couple pictures when I go home.....Had a good time ..all tho short ..but was fun......Enclosed pictures................Slawhammer...........

Ok here we are once again back in clod hopper land of Ohio.....well many things have been going on to my firehammer......
That marine cylinder with the dark Soul Cooling head..came loose...there are 3mm screws holding the cooling head to the cylinder....
now that caused the coil to drop down on the fly wheel and do some damage.......So had to make repairs there..now I had to tap out the cylinder to 4mm
too hold the cooling head down on the cylinder.......any way to make a long story short the piston froze up........I am in the process of building a different
top end kit..(not the marine cylinder)..Leave that to the boat guys......I don't think they work all that well for the cars & trucks...my opinion.....
So I did another mod for the firehammer....I set up duel shocks for the rear end on the firehammer....I used FG shocks...some brass tubing for spacers..along
with some plastic for spacers.....Turned out pretty good,,,the shocks seem to sag just a little....I think weak springs.....so I will have to stiffen those up....
This next week I will be building up the engine.......That's the lastest......AllReplies welcome......Slawhammer......
