Ok, the picture issue is kind of on-again off-again. I removed the attachments and then reattached them and they are normal thumbnails now. Sometimes the server will go awry.

Enjoy

Kengen:Ok the installation of the clucth was smooth and easy...The gear plate was easy after getting new bearings put into the plate..
Only minor problem was the rear brakes..The post did not quite line up with the brackets for it...Simple fix was to loosen up the brackets and get the post too slide
in the bushings..the gears were easy just slide on and loctie set screws...So I have just too install the new walbro 813 carb..minor adjustments of the linkage's for
carb and brake....Guess what... One more BLING too arrive yet...That will be in waiting..I will take pictures....Cuz I feel every thing you add to make things better
is bilng....Miss's had other ideas for last nite ..so had to work on this project this morning....Thanks to all those's who have helped me with this firehammer..Roger

HI slawhammer
If you have a clunk filter in you tank check and see if there is filter covering still on the filter. Mine came off on the weekend and I sucked in some sand and dirt in the carb and had to clean it out. My motor was bogging bad. You don't want to plug up the new carb. Was that a firehammer gear plate or an fg one. You have to watch because the center to center measurement on the holes is differnent. The gears on an fg are a different size and number of teeth. Mke sure the mesh is not to loose. If you use a fg gear plate you have to use fg gears 16teeth and 48 teeth. If you use firehammer gears they are 19 teeth and 48 teeth.

David0666: there is very little play in the pinion and spur gear..I have a new delima..With the walbro 813 carb..seems the the spring on the butter fly plate is strong..I can not get full open throttle
I move the servo horn in all different directions to get throw to open the plate wide open..Yes the tx and truck batterys are turned on to center the servo..I am shy about 1/8 inch...Ok when I installed the alloy intake ..It came with two teflon gaskets
frt and back..With old 668 carb no teflon gasket for the frt of intake..That is about how much space I need...Only other thing I can think of is a weak servo..not enough power to pull
the plate wide open..Need some suggestions please..Thanks for your help..Roger

I had problems with my stock servo and I put on a mg995 servo. You may need to adjust the rod at the servo. I had to do that on mine. The servo was pulling short about 1/8 of an inch short. So what it did was give it full throttle then move the collar at the servo to open up the carb full. Tighten the collar and then allow the servo to return to neutral. Center the servo so it is now neurtal on the carb and hitting the stop screw. You may now need to reset the brake collars so the break is releasing and stopping the car.

David o666: The servo is a futrba3010 ..I never had a luck with that product..I have always used Hi-Tec...No matter what I did It would not work..I took out the teflon spacer infront of the intake and used a new paper carb gasket..For the linkage the brake was taken off..now I did recentered the servo..moved the horn indifferent positions..no matter what I did It was not enough throw...So I went and rooted in my nitro box of stuff and found a longer servo horn..I figured out where to place it for the throw I needed..Bam right on the money.wide open throttle..open /close no problem now..Hooked up brake linkage and made adjustments...Both brake and throttle are right on the money...So went ahead and install the DDM exhaust pipe..added fuel lines..hooked up electronic kill switch..Put the roll cage back together..
So now I have to charge up the truck Battery...Was going to get out with it..getting late and now is raining...So I guess I am ready to fire it up and adjust the carb...
Only 1 BLING left to come..I will post pictures .....So all in all thank you all very much for helping me with my firehammer....With out your support and help..I could not have gotten it done this
soon...Roger

OK..Waiting for the batterys to get charged up ..both truck and transmitter...Waiting to get out today...
Ok.. I have maybe a dumb question...Do some of you guys put holes in the windsield to get air flow to the engine?
In the nitro world it is a good idea to get as much air flow as possiable...
Thank you all for the help on my firehammer....I will try to get vid later once get it tuned up...Roger

2 weeks now..I have made many changes form when I got it..Thanks to all the wonderful people who have made suggestions with my firehammer
Many many thanks to Hellya..awsome fellow...there are many more nice guys as well.. the list goes on...So Still waiting for the batterys to get charged up..
checked every thing out so should be ready to fire up..Still have to check out the electronic kill switch..I will need the engine running to do that...
As to nitro ..If and that's a big IF get enough money for all the stuff ..I would let it go..So could just have the gasser..Or even consider a trading the nitro stuff for another

Ok ...I think I would like to set the engine up with a tachometer for the carb adjustments...I know some of you people say go by sound
But that is great if you can hear the tones..I have lost most of my hearing tones..That is the reason to use a tachometer Non Contack..
My clutch bell is stainless steel..I would think I would have to apply black electrial tape or spray paint it flat black to apply the alum strip
so the tachometer could get a reading..Any suggestions would be helpful here..Thanks...Roger

OK ..I checked out that tachometer...Might be ok for boats and airplanes..But this will not work for my application...Come to find out you need to make brackets
you have to attach a megnet to the rotating shaft and be within 1/4" and you may get a reading.. But thank you just the same for this information..I will have to use a light
beam reflected back to the tachometer....In using a non contac beam ..you put a strip of alum foil to the clutch bell..aim the tachometer ..and take your reading...just that
simple...Many thanks to all those who have been helping me with my firehammer project...Rain here today ..so could not get out with the firehammer...I do think I am ready
now to give this a good run and try to get dirty...Hoping this week to get a video taken....Roger

Those tires should fit the standard square nuts that are on the axials. Do you not have the square wheel adapters on your truck?

These are what already comes on a firehammer mt
