I'm building my first larger Eletric Istared out with a E-FLITE Taylorcraft with a E-Flite 450 motor and Castle Creations Phoenix 35 speed controller and 3s 2100MA lipo then went to a E-Flite Extra 260 with E-Flite 480 with E-Flite 40Amp speed control Again 3s 2100MA lipo pack that was easy as I just put in exactly what the directions called for now I'm building a Golberg Ultimate 120 size 54" winspan should weigh about 8.75 pounds So far I have got a E-Flite 110 motor , Castle Creatins HV-85 Speed controller I'm stumped here as to what type A-123 or lipo9s size battery and how many MA capacity and what size prop and what charger? Should I be using two battery packs or 1? Can anybody help wiyh this conversion as I stated above I just followed the manual with the E Smaller arf's Can anybody help me out here as this is all new ground for me Thanks in advance Brian

Brian ... okay ... your motor will want 8S-10S. So let's say you go with an even number then I would say take 2 packs and put them together in SERIES. Why? Because if you have problems with one pack then only 1/2 your flight pack is affected. I think your Ultimate will fly nice on 8S. You can also split the packs for a smaller plane project too. Well even at 9S you can split them to 4 and 5 for some other smaller project.

As for capacity, I will go with no less than 3,700 mAh. Preferably 4,500 mAh to 5,000 mAh. The motor will be pulling about 50A-60A on 8S. I fly my Midwest CAP 232 on 10S and 5,000 mAh packs. I get a nice 8 mins flight using about 4,000 mAh. I fly her for scale aerobatics, no unlimited verticals.
