Hey,

I have a MGT that I am working on and I have a problem, I think it's somewhere in the slipper clutch. What it does it moves a bit, but if I give it gas it just revs up. So I replaced the slipper friction pegs and that didn't fix the problem. So now I am woundering if it is the Inner and Outer Slipper hub. Does that sound like it could be the problem. Any help would be appreciated, I am kinda new with MGT's.

Or a snapped 2-speed shaft in the transmission...

Check all the pins in the drive shafts. At the wheel also.. First of take the body off and rev it up. If the spur doesn't turn then the clutch shoes are worn out...

Update. Yes the Spur gear moves, Dog dogbones and axles are all intact.

For it being the 2 speed shaft wouldn't it first have to shift for it to do that.

Sounds like the one way bearing in the tranny. I just replaced mine for the same problem. If you replace teh one way bearing you might as well do the forward only conversion. It will take alot of stress of the tranny and the bearing.

No , the 1rst and 2nd gears ride on the same shaft , if it was broke then you would here some crunching when the truck rolls .

As suggested one way bearing look into it! Even if a pin broke should still move. Never heard of a clutch failing soo badly to the point where it won't move either. If one of the drive axle pins broke or you stripped a hex in the wheels should still move again unless you strip one in the front and one in hte rear since it is a locked 4x4.
