budget isnt really a problem. Im more of a scale, figure 8 kinda flyer. Im not big into 3d. I guess because im not that good yet lol. My ? is should i step up to a 5 or 600 trex? are they a lot more stable and easier to fly? maybe even go nitro? Ive heard a few people say that they are much easier to fly. Im curious what guys who have flown all 3 have to say. I currently have a 450 se v1.

If money isn't an issue, and you have room to fly it, get a 600.

In fact, if money isn't an issue, get me one

Yes they are easier to see and more stable.

I say go with a 600 if space where you fly is not an issue, but to me the 500 has quenched my thirst for a larger heli from my 450's and cannot even imagine a 600 in my front yard as the 500 is a little big for that. The 500 has the stability of the 600 but the agility and super fast response of the 450, it truly is the best of both worlds!!!!

Electric is the way to go if you want lots of power and instant zip ability, nitros have a lag time between a throttle punch and the reaction where electrics do not. I love my 500 and am so glad that I didn't go any larger for the 600.

I agreee If money is not a issue plese send a 500 CF kit with all electronics ( Futaba 9650 x4 JR 500 Gyro & AR6200 rx to Augerin2@aol.com LOL
Really I have a 500, and have just started to fly it. It's alot more stable & resposive all at the same time. I'd say build the 500 fly the rotors off of it and if ya still wanna go bigger get the 600 they are a fantastic bird. My buddy has the 600 with all upgrades and loves it, but room to fly around here is a issue so any time he wants to practice ity's a road trip.
Any way that's my 2 cents,
PS don't forget the 500 kit

lol thanks for the info guys....well money is sorta a problem but i have 1600 to spend on a bird plus w/e i can sell my 450 for. Its a tough choice between the 500 and 600. The thing about the 500 is the batteries are a little cheaper. I guess ill just have to see

keep the 450!!!

i have all 3 the 450, 500, 600 and they all have there purpose.

600 is awsome but you wont push it that hard because of the crash cost. flys stable and its very visible
500 is a little monster thats stable and flys fast too! very nimble as well but cyclic could be a hair better. great heli.
450 can take or fly anywhere and is cheap to crash. you need this heli to practice your moves and it will make you very sharp with the big birds. as well its so dang quick you can do most any move on it.

I am past needing to practice on the 450 and I have two of them going to sell them both off as I am just over it. I love my Trex 500 but honestly I live, breathe and sleep my 600n. When I am not flying it I am thinking about flying it. I guess it would be the same for a 600e but man I just like my nitro. The 600 is so sweet because I feel so connected with it.

If you hit yourself with a 600 you're going to be hurt. Before you go big make sure you are ready to do so. If you are confident the worst outcome is a crash and they are few and far between 600 or 700.

I have the same question. Electric 500 or 600? I'm particularly interested in knowing of there are more upgrades available for the 500 or 600 (Align and after-market parts)?
