Status: offline 		Guys am asking for help from those that are experienced because what is happening to me is very rare i think!

I have a serpent 720 and am trying to find the correct setup and i cant get the car to have the traction i need.

Am sure if i sit down and write the things i have tried you will be impressed why not the car does not have a bit more traction .

Basically what i was trying to do is to reduce the front traction and increase rear traction.


I changed the shock oil at the rear to a much lighter one than the front and also i tried different kind of coils. But i was trying to make the rear softer. i have used every setup tool that is out there in the market for example mip twek setup tool droop guages integy setup tools everything. I used negative camper for the rear and front and toe in for the rear end. i also changed diff oils but i never found the correct one for the rear end. At the front am using the solid axle.

The tyres am using are the xceed 40. I live in cyprus where the climate now can reach 40 degrees Celsius
I even tried to put weight at the rear end with the hope of some more rear traction but nothing is working.




So guys if anyone knows how to help me to at least find a shift point of this car i will be very happy.

Status: offline 		well i need to know the kind of track you are running. bumpy, high traction, tight??? well the most important is the diff oils. those will be decided by the kind of track and the.....

do you have a front one-way or diff?

Is your chassis bent?

From what i understand shore is the mixture of the foam tyres..Emm as i have said in my previous post am using 40.. The tyres are the ones that most serpent dealers sell.. I used to run the grp foam tyres and i think they have a little bit more traction but again its not enough.. What tyres do you guys use? i will be very glad to order them if i can not find them here in Cyprus... I want the best ones..but as far as i know the grp are the most popular ones...

Its a racing track but is not a very high traction track.. I can say its a medium to low traction surface... its not pavement its asphalt..

As i have said the track is not high traction because of the sand that has on it... It is near the fields and a lot of sand from the wind goes on the track everyday. What diff oils are you guys using ? Because it might be the diff oil the problem.. There are some points on the track that are tight but is actually a mixture of everything..

Pape i think your quastion is very good because i didnt say from the begining how does the car acts..

The car is very difficult to drive.. when i accelerate the car spins when am at high speed and i put the throtle up thecar starts to handle a bit better but again at the end it spins.. the car is so difficult to drive even the best driver would be able to ake it go straight and stop spining when trying to put the throtle up at any speed and mostly at accelaration. Yes at the front i have a solid axle as i said before.
No the chassis is not bent ...

Status: online 		i use JACO foams.40 shore in the rear and 42 in the front. try slick tyres bacause foams aren't good on dusty areas.do the other people in the track use foams?

Status: offline 		I think everyone is using foam and their cars run very well... I dont know what is wrong with my car spining so much..
