It grabs right inside the chassis, so all i have to do is push it forwards, the distance between them fits just so there is no side wobble.

So I can fire up my 2 truggys and my buggy as fast as I change models in my DXR3 radio :P screw the pegs haha

waddaya guys think?

If it works well... Thats awesome.. And i may have to do it myself... I have the same box... Make sure the little posts dont rub the flywheel... Could cause some problems... you can always make them shorter if they rub at all... Good idea though

they dont rub on anything !

and if you ever decide to do it, make sure the hooks arent on the clutch side... the clutch takes a tad more space then the other side of the flywheel

and yes it works awesomly

Good deal bro, that makes it that much easier to have just one starter box for everything. Nice work!

haha thanks guys.

I dont remember when I posted it, but a while back I asked what I could do if I had more R/Cs and some said to buy different tops or another starter box for every R/C which sounded quite ridiculous and expensive... so instead of spending 50$ to 100$ ....... total cost of upgrade..... 80 cents

and some said to just change the pegs everytime.... hmmmm... i dont think so lol

Perhaps you should patent it, and then you can make a million dollars.

you can't patent it now, everyone's seen it now. think about it, do you want to sell 1 box or 5 to every racer? universal box would make less money in the long run. oh yeah, old idea too, saw it in a magazine about 6 months ago. i've seen it done and it does most definitely work flawlessly, (some cars have taller flywheels than others), if you came up with it yourself you are a smart cat dude.

haha thanks, well I used logic... i figures why use the pegs for something that differs for every buggy & truggy when I noticed the flywheel hole was the same dimentions for all the ones I had. so it was a no brainer for me. I didn't like the plastic pegs that came with it... seemed to cheap.

but it works great now

Good deal! This was in an issue of ExtreamRC a few months back. I've been thinking about doing that to my OFNA blue box.
