hi im new here so to start with id like to say great site. anyway i was thinking of putting a brushless motor in my lunchbox but dont no where to start.could someone please help me either from people who have done this already or just someone whos in the know how.many thanx lee

I would have to go with castle creations sidewinder 4600KV system.

^^^^ if you do that you might want the 18 tooth pinon from the tamiya hornet, if you dont want to use the hornet pinon, id go with the sidewinder or mamba max 5700

you'll want to put bearings in it, you may want to put on oil shocks too.

I am running one with a sidewinder esc, a vxl motor, and stock pinion. Runs cool. I have a hornet sized pinion ordered, but I don't think I'll put it in for a while. My kids drives this and 35 mph might be too much for him (he's 5).

I clocked it at 22mph with the above setup. That may not sound fast, but in a lunchbox with its limited handling, that's plenty for us.

I have a Novak XBR 8.5 system in mine. Cheap and fast, works great!
