Guys I'm looking for a new heli / step up from my blade cp.
The ka-planes black hawk was suggested and the more I look the more I like, I'm looking at the 450se with 2.4ghz
Heres my request could someone post a pictures side by side of a blade cp/cpp and a blackhawk if possible?
And also is the 2.4ghz radio pretty good? Meaning better than the basic 72mhz eflite tx I'm using?
is it worth the extra little bit for the se vs the standard version?
and lastly is there anything to be aware of meaing motors burning out belts popping off etc if I do get one, basically any "issues" that they have?

also about what kinda flight times do you get with the included 2200mah battery?
Thanks guys!

p.s I have been reading through the better helipro blackhawk thread but its taking a while

Here is mine (not an SE, but they are the same size) next to my Honey Bee CP, which is the same size as a Blade CP. As a matter of fact, this one is on a Blade CP frame. It also has SuperSkids, so sits a little taller than the stock gear. I can't speak to the radio or battery, because I bought the ARTF and added my own servos and radio (DX6i). I'm using TowerPro 9g servos on the cyclic (which I think the RTF comes with) and an E-flite digital S-75 on the rudder along with an Align RCE500 gyro. I use E-flite 3S2200 battery and xmseller 3S2200's in it. An AirPower 2200 won't fit. This is a nice stable heli and the only one I have that I haven't crashed. I also have in the mini size a Venom NR3DXL, a Trex 450SA, and a Trex 450S. This flies a lot like the 3DXL, with the battery down low in the frame. I also use Align 315 blades as recommeded in the thread you mentioned and have never tried the stock blades, so I don't know how it would fly with those. I've flown it FF and FFF with stall turns, piros, and stall turns with piros at the top. I haven't had any problems at all with the motor or esc that comes with the standard Black Hawk (400 brushless size). She handles good without being squirrely. Besides the Honey Bee, I have also set up and flown Blade CP and CP Pro for friends as well as Walkera 22E in the micro size. I would say if you are competent with the Blade CP you will love the Black Hawk.

Here it is flying around the yard. The manual sucks. Previous helicopter experince will get you through though, because it's a pretty basic machine as far as how it works. It looks like it would be easy to repair; I'm glad I haven't had to find out yet!

ok... to answer the question of is it worth getting the SE version over the standard... in MY opinion, yes. the metal parts won't break in a crash like the plastic can/will. in the number of crashes I've had including the last one that has left me with a almost totaled heli the metal head and tail have never failed or broke during a crash. the last crash was hard enough of an impact to blow the gyro case apart.. kill all 3 cyclic servos, snap the main shaft in half, destroy the canopy, break the landing gear, bend the boom (slightly) and bend the feathering shaft. BUT, the head and tail are still in one piece and working like normal (ok.. I broke 2 ball links too).

If I had the standard kit that would have been a total loss type of crash. but I still had the CF frame and metal head/tail survive.. as well as the motor, ESC, tail servo, and receiver (lipo survived but was bented pretty bad and will never fly again). all that's left to repair on it is the boom, servos and gyro

I bought the SE version over the standard...I have not been disappointed...best heli for the price out there. Excellent craftmanship...great flying qualities...a sure winner!
