my xoar on the 120AX turned right about 8,400-8,500 before mods and the apc 17x6 at 9,050-9,100 before mods. my 120 is now turning the xoar 18x6 at 8,400.

IMHO you are overproping the 120 AX with an 18x6 if you are flying 3D stuff try the APC 17x6 W

Currently I am using an APC 16x6W to improve spool up times as I just love the crisp response when hovering low.

Xoar or Menz. The apc is a tank... terrible spool up.

what rpm are you getting with the 17x6 wide?

the 18x6 spools up faster than the 17x6 apc. I will try the 17x6 xoar toady to see rpm. I will not use the 18 any on the funtanna not enough prop clearence to be throwing away 15 dollar props.

also the 17x6 wide i bet is a heavy weight prop LOL
