i have a new baja 5b, RTR.....can i run the buggy in deep sand with the stock seup? or will sand get into everything,spur gear,clutch bell and brakes, i don't want to ruin anything or have to start replacing parts right away!...my friend ran his 1/10 scale buggy in the sand and now he hears a grinding sound in the clutch bell houseing and tranny.

what do all you guys use to try and keep sand out of the moving parts of your baja's

The stock set up will not hold up to sand. It will get in the clutch bell and eat your clutch!!

If you are seriously wanting to run in sand the best clutch would be an Elcon clutch, you can get one here;

Be sure and get the titanium clutch plate for an additional $19 to make a great clutch set up.

You will also need a steel clutch bell, I use the bell from Turtle Racing, I use the Blue bell it's faster you can get it here;

I would also recommend a clutch cover, there are a few on the market now, personnaly I would get this one;

But there are also these available;

I ate the clutch out of my Baja 5B very quickly in sand. I would take fourwheelers' advice!
