Ok, so i noticed today that all of our venom batteries are somehow bad. I open them, they show 0.0 volts, i charge them, according to my charger they charge to 6.9v(7.2v packs) but then there is no output from them. I have decided to go with an eflite 2cell 1800mah pack which JUST fits into the mini-t tray, i may even run the dremel through once to give it a little play to make it quicker to change batteries. What is a good point to begin charging at(amp wise)? I obviously dont want to damage the cells in anyway, but am not very familiar with lipo batteries.

Also, i am currently running 16/60 on my mini-t with a cobalt b and still the motor gets hot. not as hot as it did before with the 12t pinion, but i can only hold my finger on it for a few seconds without it getting too hot after a full pack of 1/2-full throttle. My mini-tazer is still about 10*F above ambient though.

should i go to an 18t pinion? The truck will certainly be top speed fast that way, or do you think its another issue?

Charge at 1.8A. Unless otherwise stated, lipos should be charged at 1C.

Is your 6.0v cutoff working on your esc and are you unplugging the lipo right after you get done running? Im trying to figure out how your getting down to 0.0 volts. What charger are you using?

sorry, that was confusing wording on my parts. In the store i have venom nimh batteries, for minis, they've been there so long that they're bad haha. When i initially plug them into my charger it shows 0.0v, after about 15mins on the charger they will show 6.9v and not take any more of a charge, and because of my 6v cutoff they will work to run the steering servo but not the motor, and within a few seconds they will be below 6v and useless. Because of this i have decided to go lipo, and thus i am getting the eflite 1800mah pack as i believe it is the biggest lipo pack i can fit in the mini-t battery tray(mAh wise, not voltage wise)
