Going to install a ground kill switch i assume its on side b in the picture, but i am not sure and also when i solder do i cut or just solder on the wire. I Say b and solder to wire without cutting, then to switch and switch to chassis of engine. Just checking my bases guys, first gas engine. Thanks in advance for any help.

Looks like two tangs on the A side of your picture; clip onto to one of those and and run the wire thru the switch and then to the engine case or mounting bolt. The switch is normally in open, non conductive position, when you flip it to kill the engine, you are actually completing the electrical circuit to ground.

Not sure which, it there are two tangs/tabs at side A.
Stay away from the B side or you will end up buying a new coil. (Maybe just take it down to the local saw shop and ask which to connect the kill switch to.

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=3967465 If you can determine which is front and back I would follow "herby's advise" in the post above. Ralph has forgot more than I'll ever know about these engines.

Do not cut any wires!

So share your solution so others can benefit from your experience. Is there a tab on the same side as the plug wire that you could use or did you cut the wire?
