Traxxas engines are junk, ok, well the carbs on the engines are junk. 3.3 carb screw strips out, replace it with a OS tm carb and its a great engine.
Glad to hear its worked out or that the issue has been resolved. Need a thermol temp gun with a battery display.
Hope you didnt think I was bashing RB engines, I didnt mean for it to seem that way. I have a RB V12 in my oval truck and it walks all over my OS 12tz eb mod. My issue is perhaps one in a thousand. RB are great little engines and perhaps I may one day grab another .

wow rccheech ! I would plan on rb replacing and give them a foolproof(plan that would get it replaced regardless)plan on replacing the engine . . . I have no experience with rb although they have to stand behind that engine if you followed their break in instructions . . .

My main engine is a modded C6, and I agree, they are very easy to break in and tune. Thats all I use is RB engines, I've hand nothing but good luck with them.

I figured out what went wrong (not easy to admit), my temp guage is waaayy off due to a bad battery, I checked it in my house by the thermostat and it said it was 120f, yeah right!!! so I put a new battery in it an it's right on . My own stupidity caused this, I can't believe I overlooked something this simple, the good news is I've booked another side job, I will be able to get another P/S assy. from A-Main, I guess I'm pretty lucky for now. I'll gaurantee this will never happen again, but hey, after all we're only human!!!!!

what brand of Temp Gun ???

did the Duratrash guns claim another motor ? I have seen several people fry motors due to the temp gun being way off.... Duratrash are the absolute worst offenders of the bunch..... what a farce eh ?
