Hey guys, I upgraded parts of my RS4. I got the upper deck and the OS 18CV-RX with pull.
Now, when I try to mount the engine, I can't get the engine to stay down because part of the backplate where the pull starter comes out hits the upper deck.
Is there anything I can do (without cutting the CF, it's too close to some screws to cut it down enough)?

I was thinking just getting a starter box and starter back plate.
So are the backplates much smaller than the pull start ones?

And I'm assuming all Universal 1/10 and 1/8 boxes work for almost all cars right?
I might go with this setup here.

But remember, this is carbon fiber. You can't just go and cut it like you would plastic.
I"m not entirely sure on how to cut carbon fiber...

i work with carbon fiber everyday at work....yes you can cut it like plastic (just cant use a razor blade)....use a bench grinder, dremel, or a hacksaw.

its not real carbon fiber, its actually compressed fiberglass with a carbon fiber overlay on the top and bottom.

a bench grinder work's great....if you dont have one, a decent metal file will do the same thing.

wait until you see my 3mm carbon fiber chassis for my RS4....
