Alright, I am finally ready to break in my new savage. I got past the compression problems, but now I can get it to run for a couple seconds then something clicks and it dies. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I really want to get this one going, I hadn't been able to try it for a little bit due to work.

Thanks,
Brent

Lean it out a little to keep it running. The click is normal. Not sure exactly what it is, but it is normal.

i think the click has something to do with the pull start or clutches closing..

Awesome, I will try to lean it out. I was afraid to do anything else cause I thought I was breaking something.

I believe its the return spring closing the carb.

No it has to do with the one-way assembly inside the engine, not the OWB. Its a pin on a spring that only catches one way, my F4.1 had this, and every time it would die, you could hear the same click noise. Completely normal.
