I put the track in the backyard for the mini inferno 09 but relize even though its small its still has that high pitch sound that im sure is annoying if you arent into R/C. I was going to go the detta ST route but relized it is going to be a bit pricy to get it where im happy with it. Here is what i did next...

Went to an auto part store and bought some fuel line it actually looks like heater hose here is a pic of it. It cut the high pitch noise pretty good and overall noise came down as well. My first concern was overheating but after 5 min or so of running it only got to 201 degrees. I think I will probally run it back and down the center of the wing facing the ground. Anybody see anything wrong with doing this? Might be the cheapest solution for me.

I saw these but figure it would be about the same results

What do you guys think?

I see nothing wrong with trying that. Try it and take it out to give it a few runs on your track and and let us know if you notice any performance changes along with noise level change.

The only problems I see are whatever the affect it's going to have on the tune of the pipe (which might not matter much), and the pool of oil that's going to collect in the pipe or the hose if you create any upward facing sections.

well just poke a hole in the bottom of it to allow the oil to drip out.

Im not a nitro guy, but does oil collect in your pipe? If it doesnt it should collect in the hose either. I would be more worried about the oil eating through the hose over time.

It is just a piece of hose. If it eats threw it just put another one on. I doubt you will have any problems with it. Just run it like that and let us know how it works.

After ordering 2 cases of fuel a week and a half ago its finally showing up today! Ill get some runs in this weekend and let you know how it goes. I did notice the oil was making its way out of the hose but using my aircompressor and some simple green through the pipe once in a while probally wouldnt hurt either.
