I just purchased a new aftershock with the lst2 upgrade kit. Im going to get rpm a arms, new pipe, aluminum shoes , wheels and tires and an LRp. Is there anything else I need to make this truck. What about shiftimg problems. Is it really an issue? If so what do I need to fix the shifting problems. I cant think of anything else i need.

There are no shifting problems. You might want a LST2 two speed assembly to get rid of the Aftershock bushing (vs bearing in LST2) in the high speed spur and the Aftershock plastic housed low speed OWB.

I would get lunsford turnbuckles and front Ti-Ni shock shafts before I got RPM arms. Just my opinion, but I think the LST2 stock arms are a little better. The RPM arms are made of a stronger plastic, but the LST2 arms are a lot beefier. I have never broke an arm, yet, so I think the stock set-up is very tough. I would either stock up on spur gears or buy the steel conversion, because in my opinion, that is the weakest point in the truck. (I have broke 3 or 4 sets.) For your tires, I would advise 40s crime fighter, or bow-ties. I use these tires racing on my track, and I love them, they grip like crazy, and they are good for smooth landings. As for the LRP and new pipe, that is the best thing you can do to a stock Aftershock. I bought an LRP, and Losi HT pipe last weekend and so far it has really been working out.

I agree with raze44 , if you have the LST2 a arms they are pretty strong and will hold up too alot of abuse .

You will need the titanium steering links , alloy steering knuckles (maybe c hubs too) , Bad A$$ Creations steering link , and GPM alloy bellcranks . This should make the front end darn near bullit proof .

I would also get the Losi sway bar kit , its cheap and really helps the truck corner better .

Keep an eye on the engine brace also cause quite a few people have cracked the stocker (which might be why raze44 is chewing up spur gears) . I myself have never burnt a spur gear after several gallons of running .
