My son got a gift from his uncle of a Walker Bulldog tank. I think the tracks have too much slack......anybody have a suggestion for this?

Holy smoke.... my walker looked nothing like that when it came out of the box... the tracks on mine were nice and snug. You are probably going to have to remove several links to tighten them up. Are they like that on both sides...??? Trying to run the tank like that will most likely result in thrown tracks very quickly.

Yes, Pretty much both sides, and yes he has thrown one track a time or two already. Q/A problem I would think from Heng Long.

I think I will assist him, as it's his tank and he could use the experience. Does anyone have a pic of their Walker Bulldog tracks to compare?

Thanks guys!

Yikes.....well I'm going to let him play and fix this one for as long as possible. Attention span of teenagers is not long......

You've got "Alice" tracks!

You can take out a link on either side and it will be fine. Mine were like that too when I got it. Pulled 1 link and then they were too tight! Had to give it time and let them loosen up. Now they're nearly worn out and sagging again. Incidently this tank has NEVER thrown a track no matter how loose they were.

Ohh, those are metal tracks and they are usually purchased separately.

Thanks SwathDiver! Alice Tracks? You mean the tracks are on backwards right? And I can't say that it actually threw the tracks, but rather partially came off the front drive wheel. My son loves it and enjoys shooting me with it.

James, your tracks look too loose...on the 1;1 scale, theres only a 5/8 inch sag between the 1 & 2 return roller.

I know Bill, they're worn out! Remember that tank has been to 6 states this year! All those miles took its toll! Wish someone made adjustable idlers for it!
