Hi . I am using an airplane setup for a jet. i am using the flaps as Aux 2, and the wing set up as flaperons for dual servos in the wings.ie 1 servo per wing half, I have the programmable mix 1 set up for aux 2 as the master mixed with ailerons as the slave. they are activated by the flap switch in the 3rd postion which works well except that the ailerons move in different directions on the when activated.

idealy i would expect to use 2 mixs, but i do not have the function list to mix ,master to aileron 1 and master to aileron 2 where i could alter the direction on 1 side so they both go up. all it gives me in the slave window when i highlight is ailerons . how can i get around this??

Regards

You shouldn't have to use any of the mixes to get crow braking. Try this on an unused Acro model. First reset the model so you don't have any mixes activated. In the Wing TYPE menu set the Wing to FLAPERON. In the Device SEL menu set AUX2 to be activated by the FLAP SW and the output ACT. Leave the FLAP activated by the FLAP SW and its output SYS. Right aileron will be on channels 2 and left aileron on channel 6. Flaps will be on channel 7.

Go the FLAP SYS menu in the FUNC. LIST and set up the elevator and spoileron (called flap on the menu) positions for the three positions on the flap switch. To get up aileron for crow, the FLAP values will have to be up not down. Adjust the flap linkage so when the FLAP SW is in the 1 position, the flaps are up. Go to the TRVL ADJ menu and set the flap travel.

I'm no expert on the JR 9303 although I've been using it for about the past year. In my X9303(2.4 Ghz model) manual on page A-11, it states to use "Normal" not "Flaperon" for a wing with ailerons and flaps. I just finished a plane with ailerons and flaps(each with their own servo) and set it up using Normal Wing. It may be the choices you are looking for will become available if the wing type is changed to Normal.

I believe the options you're looking for will actually become available once you set the wing to Flaperon. I know, it doesn't match what the manual says, but it's been discussed on this site before.

Good luck!

Follow the 9303 Ultra Stick set-up. This not only sets up crow, but you can use the flaps as extra ailerons.

If you need the crow set-up in a more step-by-step way, drop me an e-mail and I'll snd it to you in Word or PDF format.
